What sustainability initiatives does HP implement?
HP focuses on sustainability by applying rigorous design principles to enhance the environmental performance of its products. This includes using recycled materials in Original HP Cartridges, such as the HP EvoCycle Toner Cartridges, which are made from 76% reused and recycled materials. Since 2016, over 5.8 billion Original HP Cartridges have been manufactured with recycled content, helping to keep more than 148,000 metric tons of recycled plastic out of landfills.
How does HP support recycling efforts?
HP offers the HP Planet Partners program, which allows customers to return used cartridges for free. Participants can collect their used cartridges and send them to HP for recycling. HP sorts, disassembles, and shreds the materials to ensure they are properly recycled. This initiative has helped reroute over 6 billion post-consumer plastic bottles from landfills by upcycling these materials.
